Apple CEO to Participate in Authorized Biography

The New York Times is reporting that Steve Jobs, Apple cofounder and CEO, will be participating in an authorized biography of his life. The biography will be written by Walter Isaccson.

Jobs has a poor track record in terms of participating in such biographical efforts in the past. In fact, there are reports that Jobs was irritated by previous unauthorized biographies that have been published about him in the past.

Mr. Jobs has reacted angrily to some of these books, and in some cases has directed Apple stores to temporarily remove other books from the same publishers from their shelves.

The biography will reportedly cover his entire life, from childhood to present day. That said, don’t expect to be able to read this any time soon, seeing as it’s only in the early planning stages.
