Phototropedelic is a one-tap apps that can turn any picture in your Photo Library into something totally psychedelic. It’s not really made obvious when you finish the photo conversion, but all of the pictures created within the app are automatically saved to your camera roll. I used the app to quickly create the images in the above screenshot, and it only took about 20-30 seconds on my iPhone 3GS.
There are settings to manipulate the number of stars, colours, and the kinds of shapes that you want to use in the exported image. The only bug so far is that settings don’t seem to save between sessions, and so all of the toggles and switches go back to default when you reload the app. Otherwise, I’m really into Phototropedelic, and this is definitely going to be one of those apps that my friends and family are going to see far too much of (“look what I did to the cat!”).
