The most compelling argument for the lack of wireless syncing on the iPhone thus far

Nick Cernis runs a site called the Modern Nerd with a very, very cool logo and a lot of great content. He’s also the developer of Put Things Off, the “let’s be realistic” task manager that Patrick reviewed a little while back. Cernis recently published a post titled “That Syncing Feeling” that lays out his vision of how synchronizing your data should be. The whole post is definitely worth a read, but it’s rule #2 “Thou should not have to plug a thing into another thing” that really hits the mark:

USB syncing is both a chore and a trip hazard. I suspect that Apple insist upon cable-based syncing because they haven ‘t yet found a way to sell the air between your Mac and your iPhone.

I’m sure there’s a joke that can be made about the MacBook Air somewhere in there — I’m just too tired to see it right now.
