Matias keyboard integrates the iPhone because you were probably reaching for it anyway [iPhone Accessories]

Here’s a very interesting idea for a keyboard: it has a slot right above the arrow keys that fits your iPhone in portrait orientation. This means that apps like Convertbot, Pastebot, and Touchpad are ever only an inch or two away, instead of an elegant, but inconvenient distance from your regular typing position. This makes a heck of a lot of sense, especially when you consider how many apps take advantage of your local wi-fi network to communicate and work with your computer.

There is one big drawback, though: the slot for your iPhone is really just a generic silicone pad that holds it nicely in place. There isn’t any easy or elegant way for your to charge your phone while it sits on the keyboard, not without the wires getting all over the arrow keys and numpad, in any case.

Now, if only the keys on this $50 Matias keyboard were chiclet style like the MacBooks…
