Consume updated to 1.6 literally overnight: more providers, new settings page, now tracks packages [iPhone App Updates]

Posted on 25 Feb 2010 by Thomas

Consume, the excellent data usage tracker from bjango (review), was updated earlier today. The screenshot should be big enough to show you to read all of the new carrier changes, but I’d also like to add that I saw UPS, FedEx, and Apple package tracking as new “Global” provider settings. Consume is becoming a far more versatile information tracker, and I love how quickly new types of data are being added.

In addition to these changes, the Settings page of  Consume has also been revamped. There’s now a very friendly set of four slides in a Help & Tips section that shows you how the app works.

The most surprising part about this update was that it was approved literally overnight. Developer bjango was talking just yesterday about what new features were included in 1.6, and today I woke up to see the update in the App Store.
