What’s In a Game?

In my experience, the simplest games are often the most fun. Give me smiley faces to shoot at with other smiley faces and you’ve got yourself a winner. That’s what you get with a new application ‘Smiley Drop ‘ from M5 Systems LLC. Their new game is a strategy shooter that makes you think before you fire.

What Is It?

The main objective is to clear all the smiley faces before the giant weight crushes them all…because I assume they wouldn’t be so smiley in that case. So in order to keep your smiley smilin ‘, you have to get at least three smileys of the same color next to each other. When you do that, those faces disappear getting you one step closer to not being crushed.

Is That It?

Simple right? That’s not all. In total there are eight different colors that you can match. In addition to the standard colors, every once in a while there comes a ‘Wild Card ‘ that will take on the color of whatever it ‘s placed next to. The strategy comes into play when you start eliminating groups of smileys that are hanging out above different colors. Doing this eliminates all the smileys beneath the group you took care of. As you progress in the game, more smileys appear at the start of every level, so don’t think it’ll be a cake walk. Become the strategy master you were born to be, and soon enough you’ll be taking out giant groups of smileys and avoiding a death by way of smooshing.

The aiming and shooting couldn’t be simpler in Smiley Drop. Tap the smiley about to be fired and drag him where you want him to go. VoilĂ ! Oh, and whatever you do, make sure you play with the sound on. The sounds alone are worth it.
