Apple Claims 27-inch iMac Display Problems are History

Gizmodo is reporting that they have received a statement from Apple that the flickering and yellow tinting issues affecting the 27-inch iMacs.

We’ve addressed the issues that caused display flickering and yellow tint. Customers concerned that their iMac is affected should contact AppleCare.

For those of you that haven’t been keeping up with this ongoing mess, these two display issues have been plaguing the 27-inch iMacs ever since they were launched last October. After receiving a lot of complaints from customers, Apple addressed this issues two separate times with two separate firmware updates. There was then a report suggesting that Apple had temporarily halted production of these machines to address the issue. Apple denied this claim.

In recent weeks, Apple has been offering 15% rebates for purchasers of the affected machines.
