Dig up your dusty albums with Attic for iPhone [iPhone Apps]

When you think about it, Attic is really just a smart playlist with some fancy animations and a drag-and-drop functionality, but you really shouldn’t think about it like that because you’d be killing all the fun.

Real life attics are dusty, cramped spaces with all sorts of things we just don’t  bother with anymore, so it’s interesting to see such a clean and polished app brandishing the same name. Attic automatically generates a set of the 15 most neglected albums on your iPhone and lets you drag and drop the LPs right into a player at the bottom of the screen to start “re-living” what was previously lost in your 16 or 32GB sea of media.

I think this is a brilliant idea for a niche app, and I’ve been struggling with the impulse to just buy it outright for $0.99. You’ll know what happened if you see a review here over the next couple of days.
