qTweeter – the clever jailbreak app that lets you just swipe to update Twitter or Facebook status from anywhere on the iPhone – has had an update this week, to Version 3.02.

Here’s a short list of some of the key additions in the latest version:

-Multi-Account support; post to multiple Twitter and Facebook accounts simultaneously
-Background Uploading for Pics and Videos
-Geotagging, Map URL
-#nowplaying integration
-Custom Backgrounds
-Improved Interface

Here’s how Josh described qTweeter, when he labeled it his new favorite jailbreak app last Sepetember:

qTweeter, available for jailbroken iPhones only, provides the simplest way to update your Twitter and Facebook status, from within any app. Once installed, you simply swipe your finger down from the status bar and it pulls down a text bubble that hovers over whatever else you have open, allowing you to quickly type something, choose which status you want to update, and hit the send button. Once sent, the bubble disappears back up above the status bar with beautiful animation.

While qTweeter is not a full blown Twitter or Facebook app, and provides no ability to read or respond to other messages, it does provide the quickest and simplest way to update without having to launch yet another app.

You can find this latest version of qTweeter in Cydia now, priced at $4.99.  There is also a 15 tweet trial available.
