It's a slick app in many was, but I'm sorry to say it's not likely to be on my iPhone for long.

The most serious issue is that it's unbearably slow on my iPhone 3G. Launching Contacts takes a few seconds and launching the Phone app takes about a second. When I launch WorldClock Contacts I have to wait almost twenty seconds before I have a list of contacts. If I have the Favorites tab selected it's a more reasonable seven seconds – but still unacceptably long in my opinion. I do have a sizable 1,600 plus items in my Address Book – your milleage may vary.

A few other quibbles – while I like the option of having thumbnails show up in my Contacts list there isn't anyway to turn them off. Being able to run without thumbnails might improve the performance and hopefully this becomes a preference option in the future. The icon also needs to be redone – given that the idea is to replace the Phone/Contacts apps the WorldClock Contacts icon needs to blend visually with the core Mac app icons.

I'll keep an eye on this app and may give it another go when I get a faster phone.

The business card thing will hopefully be great as i have a lot of those to put in..

Contacts’ profile pictures take a moment to load and won’t load while quickly scrolling through the list. This means the app offers no functional benefit over the default contacts/phone app.

Since I don’t have any use for the business card feature I’m left feeling I’ve wasted my money. Sure it looks pretty, but I now have no choice but to hope the dev’s include some sort of image preloading in a future update.
