iPhone: now with 80,000 more apps than Facebook

Posted on 15 Mar 2010 by Thomas

I’m still of the opinion that Facebook shouldnt have any stinking apps because I hate all the extra noise they generate. They make people’s profiles a nightmare to browse, they generate all sorts of fake notifications that require you to install an app to find out if anything was really sent, and I think they dilute what Facebook is really about.

So it is with great pleasure that I’m re-announcing what Om Malik announced earlier today: the iPhone wins the app wars with a score of 140,000 (although it’s near 150,000 according to Apple’s iPad page)  to Facebook’s 60,000. Okay, so maybe I’m the only one who thinks of it as a war between two non-competing platforms…but the iPhone still wins.

What is the name of the "app to find out if anything was really sent?"
