Hi Simon

Your thread is the only thing i can find on the net about the 'Add to my TomTom' feature. I've been trying to work out how to do this for days……

Received a sales email from TomTom today – again promoting this feature, spurring me into more searching..

Are you saying it can't work?

The two things I use my iPhone for most are Pandora and TomTom. The problem is that there's no real sharing of the sound hardware, so I have to turn off the sound in TomTom to get a smooth listening experience in Pandora.

There's all kinds of hardware sharing necessary for real multi-tasking — will the GPS info be shared? The audio hardware? I really hope so, and I hope they make it easy for developers to work this into existing apps.

Take TomTom's latest update to their Navigator software for example.
The iTunes description includes the following line:

"- ADD LOCATIONS from other applications and websites on your iPhone to your TomTom app and instantly navigate to them or store them as favorites for future use."

Well, you can't use other apps to work with the TomTom app like this with the current OS. So have they let the cat out of the bag a little too early?

I'm surprised nobody has picked up on this elsewhere on the web!
