Circuitous is a new custom app switching app for the iPhone that I posted about last week, shortly after it first came out on Cydia. Just days after launching, the app has had a major update, and added quite a lot of nice new features.
Here are some of those new features:
- Tap and hold icon to redorder
- Shows free memory at the bottom of the dock
- Double tap dock to free up more memory
- Options for badges, icon labels, app animation, left and right handed, become homescreen
A few other changes that I particularly like are:
- Ability to launch from the lock screen
- The dock has been moved lower down on the right hand side of the screen
- You can now tap anywhere outside the dock to close it
One thing I don’t like so much now is that any touch of the Power or Home buttons when the dock is active seem to force it to close. So right now I cannot get a screen shot of the new dock position – because as soon as I press either of the required buttons the dock disappears.
Overall though, this is quite a good app-switching tool, and this very quick update to it has certainly added some very useful new capabilities.
Oh, and I’ve also been trying out its ‘cycling’ functions recently. These allow you to set a gesture to use to just rapidly cycle through all running apps. Quite nice.
You can find Circuitous in the Cydia app store now – and it is a free app.
