Apple to Match Amazon Best Seller eBook Pricing?

App Advice is reporting that they have viewed Apple’s upcoming iBookstore and noticed that most of the book tittles from The New York Times’ best sellers list were priced at $9.99. That’s the same price Amazon’s Kindle Store offers.

Anyway, at the moment, out of the 32 eBooks featured in the New York Time’s Bestsellers section, 27, including the entire top 10 are priced at $9.99.

As we’ve previously reported, the iBookstore uses Apple’s “agency model” which means content publishers are allowed to set their prices, but Apple gets a 30% cut of the revenue.

Of course, the iBookstore is likely to launch alongside the iPad on April 3rd.
