Lots of good rumors about the next iPhone flying around the last couple of days. Everyone expects Apple to stick to their now-traditional release cycle and bring out a new iPhone this summer, likely in late June / early July.
Engadget has heard that a likely date for the new iPhone announcement is Tuesday June 22nd. That seems a tad late to me, given that there’s usually 3-4 weeks between announcement and release of a new iPhone.

- 940X460 resolution display
- an iPad-like A4 processor
- a front facing camera
- and multitasking in iPhone OS 4.0
— Engadget hears the new model is to be called iPhone HD – and many are assuming that means it will be capable of playing and / or recording HD video.

One thing’s for sure – we’ll soon be in the thick of ‘Next iPhone / Next iPhone OS’ season – and that’s always fun. š
