Has Google been making some minor changes to the Gmail iPhone web app?

Over the past two weeks I’ve observed two minor changes to the Gmail web app UI, but I have yet to see any sort of announcement on the Google Mobile Blog. It might be that these changes are so simple that they aren’t deemed worthy of a post on the Google site, but one of them is a pretty significant layout change.
