Super Turbo Action Pig for iPhone updated to 1.1: new death animations and obstacles

If you took the movies “Babe” and “the Rocketeer” you’d end up with something a lot like Super Turbo Action Pig (review here), although you’d probably have to reduce the amount of “red sauce” to make it viable for all audiences. You’d also definitely have to take out the new death animations added in 1.1, which would be a real shame.

The new version of the game actually adds quite a lot: better collision detection, missile target warnings, earlier golden sausages (I’m still not completely sure what these are for), and new sound effects. However, the things you’ll notice immediately are the new aerial death traps (TNT, floating sickles, and gigantic “dangling balls of doom”), and the new animations activated by your inevitable collision with the said death traps.

They’re certainly not game changing, but these new details are like that extra strip of bacon added to your breakfast BLT that makes you remember it well into lunch time — and that’s a good thing for ST Action Pig,  considering how many shallow, $0.99 fast food apps it’s competing with.
