Apple Showcases 'iPad-Ready' Websites

Apple has posted a webpage showcasing websites they have deemed “iPad-Ready”, using web standards. By “web standards” they mean “no Flash.” So all of the content on these websites will be viewable on the iPad.

iPad features Safari, a mobile web browser that supports the latest web standards – including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Here are just a few of the sites that take advantage of these web standards to deliver content that looks and functions beautifully on iPad.

Currently some of the websites being showcased are: CNN, The New York Times, and Flikr.

Obviously Apple is pushing hard to kill off Flash. I have no objection personally. Flash is a resource hog, inefficient and buggy.
