Hi there,

Version 2.0 will be ad-supported (hence, free) for all platforms. We just don't have it YET for WM. What we have there is version 1.0 which is shareware.

This is actually wrong and triggers this comment. SPB TV is a combination of client apps and server infrastructure, including encoding and restreaming servers. This is why one can not manually add channels. I don't know if you've noticed or not, but publicly available channels never come compressed in H.264, so we had to add and debug dedicated iPhone server-side infrastructure which took a lot of time. Other versions of SPB TV (WM, BlackBerry) are currently supplied with MPEG4 SP streams.

About that form you have to fill or skip – the app is ad-based, so yes, we're looking for ways to make ads more targeted. But 1) we gave you that "Skip" button 2) if you decide to fill out the form you won't be asked to again 3) at least that "random guy in the street" says "Hi, I'm MobiWorld Media and I won't tell anybody else" 🙂

Anton, SPB Software
