Clearly you are abnormally picky about your setup. Why you cant just have it on the left now is beyond me. You have rated the app based on its uninstall features which is downright ridiculous. If you install an app that is all about displays then you can expect to have to change a good few settings afterwards. One of the problems you stated was making your computer now a different resolution which is a simple change in settings after activating the app. You have not given the app a chance and not rated it on how others will experience it but only people that have their dock on the right and are extremely picky about this. I find the app great and it does what it says. my one negative is the difficulty in scrolling on ipad but only because mac adopts the 2 finger drag to scroll quite strongly. if you can locate the scroll bar then you have to problem. you can also run ipad in portrait so you can see further down your screen than normal now. if in landscape then the keyboard does cut half the screen when in use but in portrait much less of a problem and just disappears again with 2 finger tap on the screen. If youre looking for using one page/program in a bit more portable way then this is ideal for you and its a bit of fun too for the geeky tech folk like me.

Wow…. You should have some cheese with all that WINEing. Just download the software again and use the uninstaller. That fixes all the issues. OK… I agree it’s not worth a great deal, but we didn’t pay a great deal and I used it quite effectively in some cases. Did uninstall it at the end because of the resolution issue when not active, but not a horrible experience. Just feel that fair is fair and trashing the poor bloke who wrote this App isn’t very productive or constructive.

Guys found the solution for this pile of sh** by googling a bit more. U need to actually use the .dmg file from the vendor http://www.shapeservices.com/en/products/download.php?product=idisplay&platform=iphone

Join One million strong against iDisplay Facebook Group. I didn't really start one but really, someone else said it right. The blogger TOOLS who raved about this should be shot and never listened to again. We should list them here. What an absolute crap of an APP. I found this blog trying to find out how to do a clean uninstall of this virtual virus of an APP. Yes that's it. iDisplay is a virus. Google that. Can we start a Razzie type award for blithering bloggers who don't have a clue what they are saying. I can think of a million great ideas, that doesn't mean they will ever work. If you buy iDisplay I have an iPad App that gets you from Manhattan to Brooklyn.

Agreed with all of the above posts. Worst app ever… and it causes lasting problems. I use "Spaces" in snow leopard, and can clearly see that – even after running the uninstaller – I still have an imaginary secondary display I can't get rid of.

I'm right there with ya. It hosed my system, needed to do a full system restore. Lost hours and hours dicking around recovering from damage this caused.

I've never been angrier at a computer product. This app has fucked up my computer and I need to find a techie friend to fiddle with my registry/display settings so I can get my computer to stop opening up programs in the 'never-never land' of imaginary desktop space that this app has created for me (and not allowed me to remove).
So pissed.

Totally agree – this app is TERRIBLE. Unfortunately a lot of the sites immediately started pimping it when it first came out and portrayed it as some amazing new product. Thanks for not being a tool (like those other sites)!
