More Facebook Integration Coming to iTunes?

TechCrunch is reporting that they have received information claiming that Apple is planning to bring Facebook Connect support to iTunes. This would make it easier for users to content information with friends. This is presumably to help expand iTunes’ influence.

It certainly adds up. Over the last few weeks, iTunes has been building out its Facebook Page at Facebook.com/iTunes, which now includes polls, featured items, and is being promoted in iTunes itself. And Lala, which was acquired by Apple in December, has extensive experience working with Facebook Connect (they also power Facebook’s song gifting feature).

iTunes 9 brought Twitter and Facebook sharing features to the table when it was introduced last fall. Apple has also stepped up it’s presence on Facebook in recent months. Not to mention Facebook integration in iPhoto ’09.
