Does the iPhone and iPad tether together without a device in between? How?

I will probably try 4.0 when it comes out before JB is released. If an easy JB becomes available I'm sure I'll try it. Then we will see. At any rate, 4.0 seems to offer quite a bit more and i am pleased (for now).

BTW, I love SBSchedule and Lockinfo an awful lot.

Id go legit ..

Two reasons to jailbreak immediately, although Apple did a great job with this update

I can live with an "unthemed" iPhone. Not a big deal to me. I will miss my different notification tones unless Apple has something up there sleeve there we did not see. I will miss Lockinfo also but not enough to make a difference for me. My main 2 reasons for JB were multiple exchange and multitasking. Those will be fixed in 4.0. I'm officially covered. I will say that if Geohot comes up with untethered JB, I will probably do it. If tethered is still the only way, I will pass.

Lucky to have tethering and a decent signal on Rogers here in Toronto. Sort of addresses MyWi issue for me.

MiWi being top on the list along with SBSettings. Those two apps are the key to making my iPhone as usable as it is and are two thing (between Apple & AT&T) that the 4.0 update does not address.

Then again my 3G iPhone won't do multitasking under 4.0, so yeah, I'll still jailbrake.

I LOVE theming my iPhone. Yes, wallpaper background is nice, but what about themed icons? My second favorite Jailbreak app has to be SBSettings. SO handy having toggles right there for phone, wifi, etc (whatever I want to use), and nice to be able to hide stuff I don't use (stocks, notepad, contacts). There are others I use regularly, but these are my top two. If Apple has equivalents, I'll have less reason to Jailbreak … but probably still will. 🙂

(or is it one word?)

Unless I missed lockscreen manipulation in yesterday's presentation then, yep, still need to JB.
