Attic for iPhone updated to 1.2: shake to refresh, double tap to remove albums

Attic, the sexy little music player that helps you re-discover your old iPod tunes based on metatag data, has been refreshed with two new features.

The first is a simple “shake to refresh” that I can’t quite figure out. The function simply pulls the app logo over the screen and then brings all of the Attic albums back onto the screen (am I missing something?!). I’ve also tried playing a couple of songs from Attic albums on my iPod to update the metatags (showing that these songs were recently played), but yielded the same results — no visible change in the refresh.

The second feature works much better, and is much clearer: if you don’t like, or simply don’t want to listen to the albums that are displayed within Attic, you can simply double tap on them and remove them from the Attic list (the songs are still on your iPod, they just won’t show up in Attic). The “deleted” album is then instantly replaced at the bottom of the Attic shelf with another album you probably haven’t listened to in a while.

I’m actually curious as to whether not we’ll see more updates to Attic from here on out, since I now consider this app to be feature complete. I can’t imagine what else I might want Attic to do, aside from update itself to 4.0-compatibility when this summer rolls around. Do you still have any lingering Attic feature requests?
