iPad 3G Shipping by May 7th

Apple’s online store now shows that the 3G iPad model will ship by May 7th. Of course, the Wi-Fi only iPad model shipped on April 3rd for customers in the U.S. Apple has reportedly already sold some 500,000 units. Recently however, Apple has since pushed back the international iPad launch date until the end of May.

Additionally, Apple has sent out emails to customers that have pre-ordered 3G models, reaffirming that their iPads will ship on time.

We would like to confirm that your order will be shipped in late April as communicated at the time you placed your order. You will receive a confirmation notice when your order has shipped.

You can get up-to-date information about your order, including shipping status and tracking number, at http://www.apple.com/orderstatus

Any new orders however, will not ship until May 7th.
