iPad Camera Connection Kit Works with More Than Just Cameras

Apple finally got around to shipping their iPad Camera Connection Kit last week, and at the time little was really known about the device. However, now that some are finally getting their hands on the kit, we’re finding out that it can do more than just import pictures to the iPad

Websites such as Tidbits have pointed out that the kit allows users to hook up USB headphone/headsets. This can be useful when making Skype calls on iPad. TUAW points out that USB keyboards can be used via this kit with the iPad. Lastly iLounge notes that iPad emails out photos at 2048X1536 compared to the iPhone’s 800X600. However, if you copy/paste the image into an email, it can be sent at full resolution. Lastly, when you connect to your Mac, iPhoto pulls full resolution images with EXIF complete information off of your iPad and onto your Mac.

Much like I suggested before, this device can and will be used for more than just downloading pictures.
