Mashable is reporting that Apple could be planning to put the upcoming next-gen iPhone on sale during this year’s WWDC, which is scheduled for the week of June 7th-11th.
Over the last two years, Apple has revealed both the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS at WWDC. However, the release of the actual iPhone hardware has traditionally come a few weeks after the announcement. Our sources say that Apple may break that tradition this year by shortening the timetable.
The best evidence we have backing up this claim is, is a recent block AT&T has placed on employee vacations for the month of June. This would also put the launch in line with the launch timeframes of the other iPhone models recent years.
