Chosun is reporting that Apple’s forthcoming next-gen iPhone will utilize 5-megapixel camera.
The electronics component maker began producing the sophisticated cameras at its plant in Gumi this month and will mass produce them starting in the second half of this year.
The current iPhone, the 3GS, is equipped with only a 3-megapixel camera. Rumors of a better camera coming to the new iPhone have been floating around since late last year.
It will be interesting to see if Apple bumps the megapixel count. However, these rumors do not pinpoint wether one or both of camera expected in the new model will have the 5-megapixel capability.
