Apple has announced that the company has sold one million iPad’s in just 28 days. Additionally, iPad users have downloaded 12 million apps and 1.5 million eBooks in the same period of time.
“One million iPads in 28 days — that’s less than half of the 74 days it took to achieve this milestone with iPhone,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Demand continues to exceed supply and we’re working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more customers.”
These numbers do not include the recent launch of the iPad wi-Fi + 3G model.
Just after the iPad launch, Apple announced that they had sold 300,000 units over launch weekend, and then shortly after Steve Jobs announce at the iPhone OS 4 event, that the company has sold 450,000 iPads.
Sounds like a smash hit.
