Nice. Oh – and I love how you slipped in the word 'again' there at the end. 🙂

So now I use it as my primary alarm clock and backup remote control for my MacMini Media setup. It's still fully functional so I have a little piece of mind knowing that I still have an iPhone at the ready (just in case I do something stupid, like lose it at a bar – again).

I know the 3GS is obviously faster, but the 2G seems achingly slow now on 3.1.3. 🙁

Hoping to make that Android 1.6 soon enough 😀

After over a year on 2.1 it started getting slow, but it got better after a clean restore to 3.1.2. It's ok now, not that fast though.

I just repaired the silent switch with crazy glue (perfect!) and updated it to 3.1.3 with redsn0w 0.9.4, then used push doctor.

It consistently thinks that the docking wire is an unauthorized device and delivers a warning message. I had to jailbreak it to kill the warning message, but it still wipes out my audio everytime the message comes up so I can hardly use it as a media device. I can't wait for the v4 of the iphone, I am definitely dumping this one for it.

Great stuff. Glad to hear it, and hope the upcoming iPhone HD or 4 or whatever it gets named, treats you just as well.

The finest, most use piece of technology I've ever had! My contract was up Feb 17th so I'm looking forward to movin' on up to Gen 4 & OS 4.
