Here at Just Another iPhone Blog, we strive to bring you only the most “just” reviews (hence the name). But not everyone is like us. Some people write reviews out of vengeance. This is how revenge reviews are born.
Garrett Murray, developer of the Ego app, describes “revenge reviews” in detail:
This is where a customer either doesn ‘t like the app after they buy it, or they buy it accidentally, and write an angry email to support. In most cases, these emails are either rude or contain false claims, or both.
A full account of Garrett’s experience with “revenge reviews” is available on his blog, and it’s an entertaining little read about what developers have to go through in dealing with iTunes Store reviews.
