That’s part of the Invite text in an email from Apple promoting the new (or newly being promoted) Facebook fan page for the App Store. 

The App Store’s Facebook pages look pretty good so far.  Nice to see their ‘App of the Week’ is Hipstamatic, just reviewed by Thomas today, here: http://bit.ly/cnQ6ru.

It looks like iPad apps are not yet included in these pages (at least any that I searched for).  You also can’t get to the description page for an app easily, as you can on AppShopper.  I wonder whether this will change in future – or whether Apple will keep things fairly basic.

Update: Commenter rodiak mentions below that the App Store Facebook page has been around for a good while – and it has been up since the end of March it looks like.  I’d not heard of it before seeing their promo email for it, so my bad on that.  I’ve adjusted some of the post wording accordingly.
