Good Morning reading: Giz on why streaming video over 3G sucks

I’m planning to write a bit about the media streaming apps Air Video and OrbMedia (hint: neither of them really wins), so this gigantic article on why streaming video over supposedly blazing fast 3G connections still sucks was quite useful. All you need to do to witness this craptastic quality is to try and watch a YouTube video over 3G. It will take a while for the video to load, and the video will look like donkey (substitute word) when it does.

Basically, it seems to come down to issues with wireless spectrum, backhaul (connection between cell towers), and the mobile devices themselves. If you’re interested in learning more, hit up Gizmodo. Articles like this are one of the reasons I still read the site.
