Crunchgear is reporting that they have heard a company called Landor Associates is in the midst of working on an ad campaign for a Verizon iPhone launch.
Ladnor has been working on Verizon branding since 2007 and is, according to a tipster, now hard at work preparing for the iPhone HD launch.
Of course we have heard countless rumors over the years, that the iPhone will be coming to Verizon’s network. However, recent findings suggest that Apple had originally planned to stick with AT&T through 2012. It’s currently unclear wether Apple still plans to stay with AT&T through that original timeframe.
I find this story unlikely, especially in the wake of Verizon’s announcement stating they are teaming up with Google to bring an Android-based tablet to Verizon’s network.
There are political, and technical, alongside business reasons for Apple to stick with AT&T. Even if the network sucks.
