Bad iPhone Ideas – Facebook Integration in iPhone OS

FacebookIntegration

Recent reports have said that Apple plans to build Facebook social networking into its iPhoneOS.  Today, Patently Apple shows that Apple has been busy patenting social networking workflows and simplifying exchanges including Facebook integration.

Yikes.  I know patents don’t always lead to new features, but amongst all the iPhone rumors and speculation I have to say this is one possibility I would hate to see get implemented.

I’ve always found that I can handle Facebook in (very) small doses and find it annoying even at that pace.  I do not want it baked right into the iPhone OS.  Also, the whole idea of tighter Facebook integration – while Facebook is under increasing scrutiny for it privacy standards – is just not a pleasant thought at all.

What do you all think?  Keen on Facebook being integrated in the iPhone OS?
