Things 1.5 for iPhone has been submitted for review
An exciting bit of news for Things task manager users from Culutred Code’s Twitter account. The next Things Touch update should be out within a week if Apple keeps their review speed up (my guess, not theirs).
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what they’ve optimized in terms of the move dialog, which is really the “do everything” button within the Things app. You can use Move to switch due dates, switch the area of responsibility (category), defer tasks, or prioritize tasks for Today. The ability to create new Areas of Responsibility is also welcome, but is really more of an “it’s about darn time” than a “woohoo! Thanks Cultured Code!”.
Still patiently waiting on that OTA sync, though ![]()

Another improvement: Either be less greedy or give long-standing users the iPad for free.
$80 for the whole package is quite a lot, especially given that the iPad app is so new and is still missing quite a lot (or so I've read in reviews).
I would probably purchase Things if it were not such a commitment to buy the OS X app, the iPhone app, and the iPad app. I understand these things are not inexpensive to code and support, but I am more impressed when a company uses an app as a tool to drive sales of the Mac app. Not having a universal app just strikes me as unfriendly to their loyal customers.
I guess if I HAD to have Things I would bite the bullet. Heck, I have Bento for OS X, iPad, and iPhone and even paid for the (IMHO, unnecessary) version 3 upgrade when it seemed version 2 had been out only a year.
I was also thinking maybe the economy hasn't taken as big a toll on those that actually have need for such a robust task manager so they can afford it!
