Scosche released FlipSync: a $20 iPhone sync cable that fits on your keychain

It isn’t easy finding a quality travel-sized cable for the iPhone. Maybe I haven’t looked hard enough, but most of the ones I’ve seen and used feel cheap, with retractable systems that seem like they’ll break after a couple of weeks of use. The FilpSync doesn’t seem to have any fancy mechanism on it: just two short wires to help you sync or charge your iPhone when on the go, which is really all I need it to do. The fact that I can keep it on my keychain is just a great little bonus.

Scosche is charging about $20 for it, which does seem rather steep for such a small and simple design, but it might still be worth if it feels like a quality product. I’ll post more when I get a review sample in the coming weeks.

For now, you can find the FlipSync online at Scosche.com or at your local Best Buy (probably only in the US). Just make sure you’re looking at the one for the iPhone, since there’s also another model that supports micro and mini USB.
