Apple Launches "Back to School" Program for 2010

Apple has launched it’s annual “Back to School” promotion for college students in the U.S. and Canada. As usual, the promotion allows customers students to purchase qualifying Macs and iPod on the same receipt and receive a US$199 or C$219 rebates.

All new standard and build-to-order Macs are eligible for the program except for the Mac mini. Nor does the program extend to refurbished Macs or iPods. These rebates will not be issued for customers who purchase iPhones or iPads. Lastly, only five rebates are allowed per household.

Here are the maximum rebate amounts according to iPod model:

– iPod touch: $199
– iPod classic 160 GB: $199
– iPod nano 16 GB: $179
– iPod nano 8 GB: $149
– iPod shuffle 4 GB (stainless steel): $99
– iPod shuffle 4 GB: $79
