The International launch of the iPad is here. Today, the iPad is available in Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Spain and the UK. The international launch was delayed due to high demand in the U.S. and Apple’s production ramp up struggled to keep up. The iPad first launched on April 3rd, and the 3G model launched in early May, so the international launch is long overdue.
The App Stores in the listed countries came online about a week ago, as did their iBookstores. However, iBookstore offerings are slim at launch.
Also worth noting, nine other countries are scheduled to receive the iPad in July: Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, and Singapore. Little other information has been revealed at this time.
