Confirmed: Next-gen iPhone to have Print Quality Screen Resolution at 960×640 Screen Resolution

SuperPhone.cz has essentially confirmed that the the upcoming iPhone we’ve heard so much about, will in fact, have a super-high resolution screen.

The site placed one of the iPhone screens that have been floating around for some time, under a microscope. There, they found that RGB elements running both vertically and horizontally were twice that of the current iPhone. That means there are quadruple the the number of pixels in the upcoming iPhone compared to the current and past models. All of this ads up to a 320dpi screen, which is higher resolution than any device on the market, and comparable to printed type.

I now highly suspect that the new iPhone will be called “iPhone HD” just like the rumor mill suggests. I mean really, is there anything else it could be called?
