In my experience Cydia is pretty good at recognizing that you have previously purchased an app. It certainly did for me when I pulled this app down on my iPad – it never asked to buy it (as I had already bought it on the iPhone weeks before). I can't recall an instance where I've ever been asked to pay twice. Given the iPad experience, it obviously isn't identifying you by device – but rather by whatever account credentials you've used for Cydia purchases I would think (I use my Google ID).

If I buy this on my iPad today, and want it on my iPhone too, do I need 2 copies? What about when the new iPhone is JB? Technically, that would be for 2 iPhones… but only 1 user, and only 1 mobile number.

JBed on launch day – in terms of a user-friendly one-click type JB, I'd say slim but possible (perhaps Spirit is already). Within a couple weeks of release = very high.

I'm currently running both my 3GS and iPad jailbroken – but doing very little jailbreak apps wise on the iPad.

Except Monday Jobs is going to tell me about my new Iphone, which will bump me up to 4.0.

What do you think the odds are of it being JB'ed on launch day?

BTW right now I am running a stock 3GS, but a jailbroken iPad. Seems close to the best of both worlds, but I do miss having a JB iPhone, but I love no restarts or springboard crashes.
