The new iPhone 4 camera was upgraded to 5MP and a “backside illuminated sensor” and LED flash that might help with low light situations. iPhone 4 will also support 5x digital zoom, tap to focus for video and stills, and 720p HD video at 30FPS. The (new) front or rear camera can also be used for live video chats (dubbed FaceTime by Apple) although it’s only allowed over wi-fi for now, and seemingly only on iPhone 4.
What’s more, we’ve even got a mobile version of iMovie for $4.99. This is gonna make it even tougher on apps like ReelDirector and Video Edit. Apple’s video editing app will features transitions, geo-location support, five themes, and the ability to accomodate photos. Videos can be exported at up to 720p resolution.
