Specifically, I'd love to use something like gChat with people on computers… I will know nobody who I frequently call who will have an iPhone 4.

I am buying this phone on launch day either way, but I'd like for my son to be able to see me talking to him when I am traveling on business… and my wife loves her BlackBerry.
