The framerate chugged for me, even after each update, and trying it on a iPod Touch 2g (32gig) and a iphone 3gs. I was really looking forward it, and at first I thought maybe it was my device, but after trying it out on multiple machines, I gave up.
Another great review Thomas, I think you're criticisms and praise are spot on! it's definitely a nice looking game…
PS Pride and Prejudice and Zombies came out recently and its a very similar experience, but with a bit more depth and polish (at least in my opinion), fans of this type of game should check that out too.
