Apple on Tuesday night, announced the winners of this year’s Apple Design Awards at this week’s ongoing World Wide Developers Conference. In previous years of this tradition, Mac applications were the primary winners, but soon after the introduction of the App Store, Apple expanded the awards to cover iOS apps. This year however, Apple decided to solely focus on iOS apps. Here are the winners:

– Star Walk for iPad

iPhone
– 20 Minute Meals – Jamie Oliver
– Articles
– Brushes
– Doodle Jump
– Real Racing
Applications are nominated by developers in Apple’s Developer Program. The awards are then given to applications excelling in four areas: technology adoption, design and user experience, innovation, and performance.
