Consume 1.7 for iPhone: iOS 4 multitasking, performance improvements, new icon

Now here’s a case where fast app switching is welcome, but simply not very useful for me. That’s because my cable and iPhone accounts on Rogers take a good 20-30 seconds for Consume to check even on wi-fi, so the extra 2-3 seconds of loading time I save are simply nullified by the pathetically long wait time (Rogers’ fault, I’m almost certain). The rest of the update pertains to various provider additions and updates, which you can read in larger print by clicking on the screenshot above.

I do dig this newer non-pie (or is it cake?) icon, though!
