Apple Now Offering Repair Program for Time Capsule Power Issues

Hardmac is reporting that Apple has issued a support document detailing a repair program for Time Capsule owners that experienced power problems and purchased the device between February and June 2008.

Some Time Capsules with serial numbers in the following range may be affected:
XX807XXXXXX – XX814XXXXXX

How to find the serial number on your Time Capsule.

If your Time Capsule falls within serial number range above and it does not power on or shuts down unexpectedly after starting up, it may be eligible for repair or replacement.

If you experienced any problems with your Time Capsule (as I did) you can contact Apple, an Apple retail store, or any Apple Authorized Service Provider for a diagnosis and repair or replacement. U.S. and Japanese customers can mail in their device to have the data transferred to a replacement Time Capsule, while customers in other companies can have the transfer done in-store.

Additionally, the program will cover the device for three years after the original date of purchase, while customers who previously paid for a repair from Apple will receive a refund.
