Jeff Williams Now Senior Vice President of Operations At Apple

AppleInsider is reporting that Apple has promoted Jeff Williams to Senior Vice President of Operations. He was formerly only Vice President of Operations.

Jeff Williams is Apple’s senior vice president of Operations, reporting to COO Tim Cook. Jeff leads a team of people around the world responsible for end-to-end supply chain management and dedicated to ensuring that Apple products meet the highest standards of quality.

Apple filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday, where it appears Williams was promoted to his new position on July 7th. Furthermore, Williams owns 47,308 shares of Apple common stock, with an additional 40,000 fully vested stock options with a $46.57 strike price valid through August of 2012. Also, over the past four years Williams has received 75,000 shares, with none of them yet fully vested.

Altogether, Williams’ stock haul adds up to be some $41 million, but have not been vested or exercised.

Williams spent 13 years at IBM before joining Apple in 1998, where in 2004 he was promoted to the role of Vice President of Operations.
