Mac Pro Inventories Running Low, Unavailable for In-Store Reservations at Some Locations

MacRumors is reporting that one of it’s readers tried to reserve a MacPro model for in-store pickup via Apple’s online store. Instead, the customer was greeted with the words “unavailable” where the select button would normally be located. This tidbit is particularly intriguing when coupled with the fact that the Mac Pro model was available just a day prior.

MacRumors has since checked several other reservation systems for other Apple retail stores. Some stores are out of one if not both models. This all of course, suggests that a Mac Pro refresh in imminent. God knows it’s overdue.

That said, you can still order any Mac Pro model from Apple’s online store with no problem, suggesting that Apple is drying up as much of the inventory in their retail stores as they can first.

Also as we’ve reported, iMac inventories are also appearing to run thin, all of this occurring in the wake of a report claiming that both the Mac Pro and iMac would be seeing a refresh by “the end of summer.”
