Quick Note: Apple Releases iOS 4.1 Beta 3 to Developers

Apple has released iOS 4.1 Beta 3 to developers. This update comes just one week after the previous release. Which, to be honest, is unexpected. Apple normally releases updates to developers on a biweekly basis.

This quick turnaround time suggests that Apple is hoping to wrap up development on iOS 4.1 soon, and get it into the hands of the general public. One feature expected in this update is a fix to the proximity sensor issues we’ve heard so much about in iPhone 4.

How soon? Who knows, but I would guess by this time next month alongside the annual iPod refreshes.
