Images of Next-Gen iPod Touch LCD and Bezel Surface, Has a Hole for Camera

MacRumors is reporting that they have been sent an image from an iPhone parts supplier. The images are purportedly that of the next-generation iPod touch. The image shows the front LCD and bezel of the device, with a hole at the top for a Facetime camera.

We’ve seen images like these circulate over the web before, and we’ve even seen several iPod touch prototypes with rear-facing cameras in the wild. This image however, is clearly stamped with “Apple © 2010”, and a manufacture date of April 29, 2010.

This, along with several other reports we’ve been hearing over the past year, all indicate that Apple is preparing to release an iPod touch with at least one camera, possibly two.

I’ll say this now, and you can believe me later. The next iPod touch will have a Facetime camera. I’ll eat my hat if it doesn’t.
